Thirty years ago, our director Dr Mark Blokland (BSC FRCC DC) (also known as “Dad”) had a vision:
To build a business rooted in integrity, expertise, and genuinely helping people feel and function at their best.

What started as one man with a big passion to help the community of Swindon has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of — a true family-run practice where experience meets fresh energy.

He laid the foundation.
We grew up watching.

The Eldest Daughter – Joined 3 Years Ago
After growing up around the business, hearing patient stories when working previously on the front desk, and witnessing Dad’s dedication first-hand, joining the practice felt like coming home — but with new skills, fresh ideas, and a modern perspective.

She brings:
  • New energy.
  • A passion for adjusting families, and paediatric care.

Dr Harriett Blokland (MChiro)

The Youngest Daughter – Most recent addition
Not to be outdone, the youngest has officially joined the team. Growing up in the clinic (and occasionally turning the living room into a pretend treatment room), she’s no stranger to the world of chiropractic. Now fully qualified and part of the team for real, she brings fresh energy, a natural warmth, and just the right amount of sibling competitiveness to keep things interesting.

With a genuine passion for caring for both people and animals, she’s already expanding her expertise to treat our four-legged patients too — proving that in this family, looking after others really is second nature.

She adds:
  • Fresh enthusiasm and already expanding her knowledge into animal chiropractic.
  • A warm, friendly approach.
  • And a healthy dose of sibling banter.

The whole team at Ridgeway Health and Wellness are absolute stars!! Both my boyfriend (Jim) and I have dodgy backs that need regular mainenance and Mark keeps us upright and moving comfortably. When I do something stupid and really tweak my back, I don't mind which of the team sees me for an emergency appt (they always quickly find a space for me) as they are all so good at getting me going again! You only have one back and neither Jim or I would trust ours to anyone other than Mark and the team!!!
